Flying out of Montenegro this winter has become easier than ever before: the country’s airports are entering the season with a stable and expanded route network. Podgorica is now connected to 17 destinations in 13 countries, while Tivat, remaining a summer-oriented resort airport, maintains four regular flights during the winter period.
The largest number of winter flights from Podgorica are operated by Air Montenegro and Wizz Air, and the main Turkish carriers on the Montenegrin market remain Pegasus Airlines and Turkish Airlines.
Podgorica: network expansion and the arrival of El Al in 2026
From Podgorica in winter, you can fly to major European hubs — Belgrade, Vienna, Warsaw, Zurich, London, and Rome — as well as to popular low-cost airline destinations — Budapest, Dortmund, Memmingen, and Milan.
Wizz Air has a significant presence, operating flights from its base in Podgorica to five cities at once: Budapest, Dortmund, Memmingen, Milan, and London (Stansted).
Air Montenegro maintains connections with Belgrade, Ljubljana, Rome, and Zurich, and from January 2026 El Al Israel will also be added to the route network, launching a direct Podgorica – Tel Aviv flight.
On the Turkish market, Pegasus Airlines connects Podgorica with Ankara, Izmir, and Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen Airport), while Turkish Airlines and Air Montenegro operate flights to Istanbul’s main airport (IST).
Tivat: just four destinations you can fly to in winter
Tivat’s winter schedule includes four routes — Belgrade, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, and Yerevan.
Air Montenegro and Air Serbia operate flights to Belgrade, while Turkish Airlines and Air Montenegro connect Tivat with Istanbul.
Winter flights to Tel Aviv will be available until January 2026 — they are operated by El Al Israel and Israir, while Flyone from Yerevan also maintains seasonal service for part of the winter period.

Growth in air connectivity and development strategy
The winter schedule confirms that Podgorica is gradually becoming an important regional aviation hub, especially after the opening of Wizz Air’s base with two new A321 neo aircraft.
The preservation of winter routes, especially to Central and Western Europe, contributes to off-season tourism development and improves connectivity between the Montenegrin diaspora and its homeland.
At the same time, Tivat is gradually positioning itself as a year-round destination, supported by the growth in the number of foreign residents and the increase in passenger traffic from the Israeli market.
Key figures:
- 17 destinations from Podgorica
- 13 countries with direct flights
- 4 destinations from Tivat
- Tel Aviv — a new destination from January 2026
- Leaders by number of flights: Air Montenegro, Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines
Winter is stable, 2026 is even more ambitious
The winter schedule shows that Montenegro’s airports are increasingly moving from a seasonal to a year-round air connectivity model.
The arrival of Israeli carrier El Al in January 2026 and the expanded presence of Wizz Air confirm that Montenegro is becoming an increasingly attractive destination not only in summer, but also in winter.
