Norwegian airline Norwegian Air Shuttle, one of Europe’s largest low-cost carriers, has announced a significant expansion of its route network as part of its summer schedule for 2026. Among the key new additions are four new seasonal direct flights from Tivat, which will connect Montenegro with the largest cities of Scandinavia and the Baltics.
This initiative reflects the company’s strategy to increase its presence in the Adriatic market and strengthen ties between northern Europe and the Montenegrin coast, which is becoming increasingly popular among tourists from Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Latvia.
Four new routes from Tivat
Norwegian’s summer schedule for 2026 includes the launch of four new destinations, each designed to meet strong tourist demand and offer convenient schedules for travelers.
Tivat – Copenhagen
From June 19 to August 14, 2026 Norwegian will operate direct flights between Tivat and Copenhagen. Flights are scheduled up to five times a week, giving passengers greater flexibility when planning trips. Thanks to this route, Montenegro will gain stable air links with one of Northern Europe’s main transport hubs.
Tivat – Helsinki
From May 2 to September 19, 2026 Norwegian will launch direct service between Tivat and Helsinki. Flights will operate twice a week — on Thursdays and Sundays, which is ideal for holidaymakers looking to spend a weekend on the Adriatic or take a short break in Finland.
Tivat – Oslo
One of the most anticipated routes — Tivat – Oslo — will start on March 31, 2026 and run until September 15. During the peak tourist season in July and August, flights will operate four times a week. This route will strengthen long-standing ties between Norway and Montenegro, especially popular among tourists who prefer a seaside holiday combined with cultural excursions.
Tivat – Riga
From late March to mid-September 2026, Norwegian will operate Tivat – Riga flights, connecting Montenegro with Latvia. Depending on the period, flights will operate from two to four times a week. As a result, passengers from the Baltics will for the first time get regular direct service to the Montenegrin coast, which should significantly increase tourist arrivals from the region.
Airfare from Tivat to Scandinavia and the Baltics
Preliminary fares for Norwegian’s new seasonal flights from Tivat to Scandinavia and the Baltic countries are already available in search engines and on the airline’s website.
According to current data, one-way economy fares in June 2026 will start from 60 euros. The most affordable destination is Tivat–Riga, where prices range from 60 to 180 euros. A flight to Copenhagen will cost on average from 120 to 320 euros, depending on the departure date and fare conditions. Tickets from Tivat to Oslo range from 100 to 350 euros, while the Tivat–Helsinki route is offered at prices from 140 to 300 euros.
Norwegian fares traditionally depend on the season, flight load, and the type of ticket selected — LowFare, LowFare+ or Flex. Travelers planning a summer trip are advised to book tickets in advance, as June and July are the period of highest demand for air travel to the Adriatic region.
Norwegian’s strategic expansion in the Adriatic region
Norwegian’s decision to launch new routes is no coincidence. In recent years, the company has been actively developing destinations in Southern Europe, where there is steady growth in demand for beach holidays and cultural tourism.
Montenegro, and especially the Budva and Bay of Kotor rivieras, are becoming increasingly popular among travelers from Northern Europe thanks to the mild climate, the combination of sea and mountains, affordable prices, and the growing quality of tourism infrastructure.

Norwegian Air Shuttle fleet: modern and efficient aircraft
Norwegian operates one of the most modern aircraft fleets in Europe. Its fleet includes Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 — models ideally suited for medium-haul routes such as flights from Scandinavia to Montenegro.
- The Boeing 737-800 seats up to 189 passengers and is known for reliability proven over years of operation.
- The Boeing 737 MAX 8 is a newer version equipped with fuel-efficient engines and improved sound insulation, making the flight more comfortable and eco-friendlier.
These aircraft give Norwegian a competitive advantage in the low-cost carrier market, combining affordable prices with a high level of safety.
