The Ministry of Health of Montenegro has introduced 7 new quarantine measures for the New Year and Christmas holidays.
7 New Year and Christmas measures in Montenegro. Valid until January 11, 2021:
- Curfew from 22:00 to 5:00. At the same time, the curfew is lifted on the night of December 24 to 25, on the night of January 5 to 6 and from January 6 to 7.
- Supermarkets, shopping centers, stores, beauty salons, hairdressers, etc. operate from 7:00 to 20:00.
- Restaurants operate from 7:00 to 20:00. However, they will be closed on December 24, 25, 30 and 31, 2020, as well as on January 1, 2, 6, 7 and 8, 2021.
- Movement between municipalities is prohibited from 22:00 on Friday to 5:00 on Monday (weekends only). The ban on movement on public holidays is lifted.
- Mass gatherings, as well as gatherings in residential buildings, are prohibited.
- It is prohibited to gather outdoors in groups of more than four adults.
- Playgrounds will be closed.
Hotels:
- Restaurants in hotels on December 24, 25, 30, 31, 2020, as well as January 1, 2, 6, 7 and 8, 2021, operate only for guests from 7:00 to 16:00. After 16:00, only room service is allowed.
- On the above dates, pools and SPA facilities, as well as entertainment and music programs, are prohibited. Outside these dates, the music program runs from 07:00 to 20:00.
- It is prohibited to rent cottages, apartments and other residential premises to more than two guests, except members of one family.
Ski resorts:
- A mandatory distance of 2 meters in lift queues.
- Wearing a mask or ski cap covering the nose and mouth is mandatory.
- On the cable car, only one person may be in the cabin, and in a six-seater cabin two people. Members of one family may fill the cabin completely.
Please note that with an airline ticket to and from the airport, you can travel even during the curfew.
Also, for all tourists entering Montenegro, the presence of a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours is mandatory.
Data on new COVID-19 cases:
In the last 24 hours, 258 cases of infection were recorded, while 580 people recovered from coronavirus. In addition, seven people died from coronavirus. The list of the deceased today included patients from Podgorica – 2, Bar – 2, Berane – 1, Plužine – 1 and Kotor – 1.
There are currently 8,830 active cases, i.e. 1,401 cases per 100,000 people. The total number of infections since the start of the pandemic in March is 44,542.
