The current epidemiological measures have been extended until March 31. Some tightening measures have affected the municipalities of Berane and Šavnik.
Current epidemiological measures:
- Store opening hours are from 7:00 to 20:00.
- Curfew from 21:00 to 5:00. Exception – walking pets, but for no more than 60 minutes a day.
- It is forbidden to leave the following municipalities: Budva, Tivat, Podgorica, Cetinje, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Nikšić, Plužine, Kotor, Pljevlja, Ulcinj, Bar, Bijelo Polje, Mojkovac, Berane and Šavnik.
- Excursions, live music performances, children's playrooms, Ferris wheels and amusement parks are prohibited.
- Schools are operating online.
- Wearing masks outdoors and indoors is mandatory.
Important: for the municipalities of Ulcinj, Nikšić, Berane and Šavnik restaurants, cafes, shopping centers, non-food stores, hair salons and beauty salons, gyms and cinemas are prohibited from operating.
Rules for entering Montenegro
Entry into Montenegro is allowed with a PCR test no older than 48 hours, or with a positive IgG antibody test no older than 30 days, or with proof of having received the second dose of the vaccine at least seven days before entering Montenegro. These rules do not apply to those entering from Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania.
Over the past 24 hours, 553 new coronavirus infections have been registered. 651 patients have recovered. 18 people have died, the youngest of whom was 55 and the oldest 90 years old. The total number of currently active COVID-19 cases in Montenegro is 8,581, which is 1,362 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
11,857 citizens have been vaccinated (almost 2% of the country's population).
The Minister of Economic Development, Jakov Milatović, stated that there is a positive trend in the number of new infections over the past 10 days. The minister also emphasized that the goal is to vaccinate up to 400,000 citizens.
