Montenegro is carrying out a large-scale modernization of its transport network: currently, 13 major infrastructure projects worth more than 150 million euros are being actively implemented in the country. Among them are the construction of the Tivat – Jaz section, works on the Bar – Krute and Nikšić – Plužine routes, the reconstruction of the Đurđevića bridge, and the landslide remediation on the Mojkovac – Tara route.
One of the key directions is preparation for the second phase of construction of the Mateševo – Andrijevica highway. Already 10 international companies have applied to participate in the project, the launch of which is planned by the end of 2025. In addition, the design of the entire highway Bar – Boljare.
Special attention is being paid to solving the transport problems of the coast. Thus, the Tivat – Jaz route serves more than 20,000 vehicles daily, and in summer — almost twice as many. Its reconstruction will be completed by the next tourist season.
These projects not only improve transport accessibility, but also open up opportunities for investment, job creation, and regional development in the country.
