National airline Air Montenegro last week operated the first flight between Tivat and Brno (Czech Republic), with flights planned to operate from June 15 to September 23 this year, twice a week (on Thursdays and Saturdays).
“Considering the importance of the Czech source market for tourist flows and the extension of the tourist season in Montenegro, we believe it is important for Air Montenegro to launch an air route between Tivat and Brno,” the company said.
The airline adds that, in cooperation with the Tivat Tourist Organization, the first travelers from Brno were welcomed with a “traditional Montenegrin reception.”
“Comparative statistical data for the first quarter of this year compared to the first quarter of the previous year for the Czech market indicate the justification for introducing the airline, given that we are recording growth in overnight stays and the number of tourists from this market, with a trend toward a future dynamic tourist flow from this significant source market,” say Air Montenegro.
