The total amount of deposits of natural and legal persons at the end of last year amounted to 3.38 billion euros, which is 96 million, or 2.78 percent, less than in 2019, writes the publication Dan.

In the middle of last year, deposits fell to 3.303 billion, or 173 million euros, according to the annual report on the work of the Deposit Protection Fund (DPF).

At the end of 2019, deposits amounted to 3.476 billion.

The number of depositors in the household sector at the end of 2020 was 628,914 people, or 90.62 percent of the total number of depositors.

The corporate sector accounts for 48.85 percent of all deposits in credit institutions, or 1.65 billion euros.

The number of depositors in the economy sector at the end of 2020 was 65,126 people, or 9.38 percent of the total number of depositors.

According to the DPF, 5,097 depositors have deposits ranging from 5 to 100 thousand euros, of which 4,110 are natural persons and 987 are legal entities. At the same time, 3,501 depositors have more than 100,000 euros in bank deposits, of which 1,887 are citizens and 1,614 are legal entities, i.e. companies.
