The Širun Day will take place on October 5 in Budva. Traditionally, this holiday marks the end of the tourist season in Montenegro’s resort capital. The festival program includes children’s games, sports competitions, entertainment shows, and concerts. The celebration will last until late evening. Širun Day will begin with a concert by the Gradska Muzika brass band at 16:30. After the official opening, entertainment for children will be organized. The main music program starts at 6:00 p.m. The female ensemble Harmonija and Montenegrin singer Monika Knezović will perform for the audience. The festival’s main event is a concert by the Croatian band Magazin. All guests will be offered a tasting of grilled širun fish (a type of mackerel) and local wines. The celebration will be held with the support of the Budva Tourist Organization, the city authorities, and the Širun sport fishing club.
