More than 850 thousand Belarusians officially vacationed abroad in 2018. That is about 100 thousand more people than in 2017. The data concerns only those who bought a tour. They are cited in the latest Belstat collection “Tourism and Tourist Resources in the Republic of Belarus”. Every year, more and more Belarusians travel abroad for vacation. In 2018 there were 850,724 of them, in 2017 — 727,536 people, and in 2016 — 495,727. Last year, Belarusians most often went to Egypt for vacation: 211,962 people. That is almost twice as many as the year before. Turkey is second in popularity among Belarusians. In 2018, 151,393 Belarusians vacationed there. Then comes Ukraine, with 122,137 Belarusians who went there on holiday. The top 10 countries for Belarusians to vacation in 2018 looks like this:
