More than 850,000 Belarusians officially vacationed abroad in 2018. That is about 100,000 more people than in 2017. The data applies only to those who bought a tour package. It is cited in the latest Belstat collection
Every year, more and more Belarusians travel abroad for holidays. In 2018, there were 850,724 of them, compared with 727,536 in 2017 and 495,727 in 2016.
Last year, Belarusians most often went to Egypt for vacation: 211,962 people. That is almost twice as many as the year before. Turkey ranks second in popularity among Belarusians. In 2018, 151,393 Belarusians vacationed there. Ukraine comes next, with 122,137 Belarusians traveling there for holidays.

In 2018, 365,534 tourists came to Belarus. That is more than in 2017 by over 80,000 people. Most often, tourists came to us from Russia: there were 207,416 of them. Lithuania ranks second, with 59,564 people. Poland is third, with 46,305 people from there.
