European Union plans to provide another 600 million euros in financing under its economic and investment plan for the Western Balkans by the end of 2021, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
“This year, 500 million euros have already been allocated under the plan, and I am pleased to announce that, since the project is progressing so well, we can allocate another 600 million euros for this year,” von der Leyen said.
“In total, 9 billion euros was available for financing, but another 20 billion euros could be used as investments,” said the head of the EU executive.
