Construction of the bridge over the Morača River as part of the construction works on the Southwest Bypass is proceeding according to plan, and the deadline for completion of the works is April next year.
The construction of the Southwest Bypass, with a total length of 3.34 kilometers, consists of three phases with a total cost of around 16 million euros, making it the largest infrastructure road project in the capital.
“Construction of the southwest bypass began in August 2018. It is a roadway of the main route network connecting the Podgorica-Cetinje main road with the Podgorica-Petrovac road. Thus, Podgorica will offer an alternative route through the city, as transit will significantly ease traffic flow,” the capital said in a statement.
