The Kotor-Lovćen cable car will be open for commercial rides on August 14, starting at 10 a.m. reported the company managing the facility.

“One of the most important Montenegrin tourism infrastructure projects, awaited for almost a century, was completed a year and a month after the foundation stone was laid, which we consider an exceptional success, given the complexity of the entire project. We express our special and greatest gratitude to Prime Minister Dr. Dritan Abazović, without whose involvement and the help of his team this project would not have been completed. What we can proudly note is that Montenegro will soon have a road overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in the world, whose construction, as well as safety inspections and protocols, meet the highest global standards,” the press service said.

Kotor-Lovćen cable car: ticket prices

• A one-way ride for adults costs 13 euros, while a round-trip ticket costs 23 euros.
• Children's ticket prices are significantly lower, so a one-way ride costs 7 euros, and a round trip costs 12 euros.
• Free rides are provided for children under two years of age.
• Benefits have also been set for persons with disabilities; for people with disabilities, the price of a one-way ticket will be 7 euros, and a round trip 12 euros.

“Thanks to the strategic partnership with Crnogorski Kommerciali Banka (CKB), which provided financial support for the construction, their clients will be able to enjoy discounts when buying tickets. In addition, thanks to the trust and support that Mastercard gave the project within the partnership, significant discounts were provided for visitors,” the press service noted.

Mastercard cardholders can receive a discount of 5 euros for each ticket purchased from August 14 to September 15. Discounts apply when paying with Mastercard payment cards issued by all banks in Montenegro, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of the card type. The number of rides paid for with the same Mastercard debit card is unlimited, meaning the cardholder is entitled to a ticket price reduction even if they ride more than once during the promotion period.

We remind you that the project is being implemented by the Novi Volvox – LEITNER consortium under a concession agreement signed in December 2021; shortly after that, on July 12, 2022, the first stone was laid.
