The International Monetary Fund forecasts that Montenegro's economy will grow by six percent in 2022.
“Growth recovery is expected in 2021 and 2022 at 12% and 6%, respectively, which will be driven primarily by the normalization of tourism”, — says the new report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Montenegro.
“A strong growth momentum is expected to continue in 2022, but output is expected to remain below the pre-pandemic trend in the medium term,” says the report of the IMF.
The IMF says the epidemic has hit the economy hard, but an active recovery is underway.
