Montenegro and North Macedonia will jointly apply to participate in the PayPal online payments system, this was announced at a session of the Government of Montenegro.
Minister of Public Administration Duqaj Marash said that an important visit to Skopje lies ahead, so he proposed a platform for a meeting with the minister there.
“This is a very important visit; it is about concluding a memorandum between the two ministries of Montenegro and North Macedonia with the aim of digitalization and information security. There is also an idea for Montenegro, together with North Macedonia, to submit an application, which was proposed by the company itself,” he said.
Marash stated that the two countries together have a better chance of becoming part of this online payments network.
Receiving money via PayPal is still not possible in Montenegro
At present, PayPal money transfers are allowed in Montenegro only in one direction, that is, when paying for goods and services online. Receiving money through this platform is still not possible, which represents a significant barrier for all those who plan to do business online.
