This autumn, most Russians who decided to take a vacation chose Russia for their trips. Thus, 93.6% of all flight bookings for departures during the velvet season were made within Russia. This was reported by the head of the press service of the travel planning service OneTwoTrip Elena Shelekhova.
Thus, according to the service, the most popular destinations for vacations in September-October were Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Sochi. The Russian capital accounted for 26.9% of bookings, St. Petersburg for 10.9%, and Sochi for 8.7%.
Montenegro is on the list of popular destinations among Russians
Also on the list of popular destinations were Kaliningrad (5%), Simferopol (4.2%), Mineralnye Vody (2.8%), Krasnodar (2.6%), Kazan (2.5%), Ufa (2.4%), and Anapa (1.8%).
“Among foreign tourist destinations, the most popular are Turkey (1.6% of all bookings), Armenia (1.5%), Greece (0.3%), Cyprus (0.2%), and Montenegro (0.1%),” Shelekhova clarified in a conversation Shelekhova.
More than 60% of participants in a study conducted by the online financial platform Webbankir admitted that beach holidays at domestic or foreign resorts are the ideal vacation option.
