The Herceg Novi-based company Azmont Investments has submitted a request to the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism for a permit to build a helipad in the sea tourism port.

Helipads already exist in Montenegro at Porto Montenegro in Tivat and at the Splendid hotel in Bečići. Helicopters can also land at the airports in Podgorica, Tivat, Berane, and Nikšić.

Azmont Investments manages the Portonovi tourist resort, which also includes a marina. The founder of the Herzegovinian company is the Azerbaijani firm “Azerbaijan Global Investments Limited Liability Company”.

Portonovi opened its doors to visitors in 2019 and is one of the largest direct foreign investments in Montenegro. Azmont Investments has been operating in Montenegro since 2012.
