According to government statements, Serbia will complete another 30.9 km of the section of the highway from Preljina to Požega this year, which is part of the Belgrade-Bar corridor (Corridor 11).
“By the end of the year, we must and can complete the most difficult section of the Miloš Veliki highway from Preljina to Požega,” said Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirović during an inspection of the works at Laze.
“We will be able to do it only if we work in three shifts, and we will do it because we are working with the best Chinese partners,” Momirović added.
He inspected the works on the most critical part of the thirty-kilometer section, where two tunnel tubes with a length of 2,800 meters will be built. According to local media reports, Momirović announced that traffic in the direction from Čačak (Serbia) to Sveti Nikola should be stopped.
