In Montenegro, a draft employment strategy was presented for the population for the period 2021—2025. It is expected that the unemployment rate will gradually decrease from 17.9 percent in 2020 to 15 percent in 2023 and 12 percent in 2025, reports RTCG citing the document.
In addition, the draft employment strategy plans to increase the employment rate from 55.2 percent last year to 66 percent in 2025.
The same document also provides for an employment rate of 61 percent in 2023.
One of the operational goals is to achieve employment growth and investment in quality and safe jobs by improving the business environment. As for the figures, it is planned to increase registered employment from 176 693 last year to 235 000 in 2025.
