According to the Statistical Office Monstat, the average gross salary in August 2022 in Montenegro amounted to 886 euros, and the average salary excluding taxes and contributions (net) amounted to 718 euros.
“The average (net) salary in August 2022, compared to July 2022, recorded an increase of 0.6%, and the average (net) salary in August 2022, compared to the same month of the previous year, recorded an increase of 35%,” Monstat said in a statement.
If we take into account that consumer prices in August 2022, compared to July 2022, recorded an increase of 0.2%, then real wages over the same period recorded an increase of 0.4%.
