Average salary (gross) in May 2022 in Montenegro amounted to 876 euros, while the average salary without taxes and contributions (net) was 710 euros, according to the Statistical Office Monstat.
The average (net) salary in May increased by 0.4% compared to April, and the average (net) salary in May 2022 grew by 34% compared to the same month last year.
“If we take into account that consumer prices in May compared to April recorded an increase of 0.8%, it follows that real wages for the same period recorded a decrease of 0.4%,” Monstat said in a statement.
