The International Kotor Summer Carnival will take place from August 1 to 3 in Arms Square in the Old Town.The official opening will take place on August 1 at 9:00 p.m.Carnival groups from Italy, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, and Cuba will perform in Kotor.August 1 (Thursday)at 10:00 p.m. on the central square in the Old Town, the Croatian klapa Tri Gust will take the stage. In addition, at 10:30 p.m. a Fishermen’s Night celebration will be held on the Muo waterfront.August 2 (Friday)at 9:00 p.m. — performances by carnival groups. At 10:00 p.m. on the square in the Old Town, the Croatian band Magazin, known for its song Ginem, will give a concert. By the way, Abraham Russo once performed a cover version of it, titled Znam.August 3 (Saturday)the highlight of the celebration is expected — at 9:00 p.m. the main procession will begin on the main highway. It will conclude with “Carnival Night” in the Old Town. The event is organized by the Fešta association, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro, the national and local tourism organizations, and the Municipality of Kotor.
