European Commissioner for Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi said that Montenegro has completed all procedures for joining the EU digital certification system. This means that Montenegrin citizens will be able to travel more freely to EU countries as early as December 24 with national covid certificates.

This information was also confirmed by the Ministry of Health of Montenegro.

“It is important for citizens to know that the EU digital certificate is valid for 14 days from the date of the last vaccine dose. A PCR test is valid for 72 hours, and a rapid antigen test for 48 hours,” the statement said.
