Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the Savin Kuk ski resort in Žabljak is currently recording the highest number of visits in the past five years.
Local residents were forced to spend the winter holidays in Montenegro because the borders have been closed for several months, so the increase in visits to Žabljak is not surprising. In addition to Montenegrins, there are also Russian citizens, but mostly only those who live in Montenegro.
The ski resort has six runs. The resort is located in a UNESCO-protected area, so no construction of additional facilities is planned.
The Savin Kuk ski resort offers its visitors day and night skiing and snowboarding, ski school services, and a panoramic lift with two-seater cabins.
In addition, a snowshoe trail has been laid from the Savin Kuk ski resort to Black Lake – one of the most popular attractions in Montenegro. At the foot of the ski resort there is a 2.5 km ski trail.
