Why use the ECB EUR rate
Property prices in Montenegro are denominated in euros. For a buyer from Russia, the CIS or the US the relevant figure is not the bank exchange rate but the official European Central Bank rate — it is what is used in contracts, tax filings and notary documents.
We display the EUR rate against RUB, USD and the Serbian dinar (RSD) using the ECB's daily publication. Data refreshes automatically. The converter below works both ways: check what a €350,000 unit costs in roubles, or how many dollars line up with a €35,000 deposit.
When budgeting a deal it is worth comparing the ECB rate with the bank you plan to wire money through to Montenegro: bank rates are usually 1–2% worse, and that gap sits on top of the property cost. For larger sums, ask the bank or broker for a quote in advance.
